Hitman movie to star Homeland’s Rupert Friend

The upcoming Hitman movie has been recast following the November death of Paul Walker, who was cast in February last year.

According to Variety, Homeland star Rupert Friend is to play the titular bald agent in the newly-titled Agent 47, which we had been calling Hitman 2, as it’s a sequel to the last film. Friend also appeared in Pride and Prejudice and The Young Victoria.

Rupert Friend (TV’s Homeland) is currently shooting 20th Century Fox’s reboot of 2007′sHitman in Agent 47. The film was scripted by A Good Day To Die Hard‘s Skip Woods and Michael Finch, and is being helmed by commercial director Aleksander Bach.
