I saw Cheri last night. I have to say...I was not impressed. First of all, before I say anything, Rupert was actually very good in it. I would say he was probably the best thing in it. But there were problems, major problems with the rest. First of all, I wasn't aware (or I probably was aware, but I had forgotten) that Kathy Bates was in this. She totally did not fit. Not her as an actress nor did her character fit. For the most part the movie came across as a drama. Or romance. Dramatic romance, perhaps? But there were funny parts. Very funny, like comical parts. Humor is okay in a drama, but this was over-the-top comical. So it really did not fit in. At all. Those parts, while very amusing, were very jarring to the flow of the movie.
Another problem, which I was a little surprised about, because I like her otherwise, was Michelle Pfeiffer. Frankly, she sucked. She was so wooden, it really shocked me. Many of the scenes, especially the ones with Michelle, Rupert and Kathy, seemed like the were not actually interacting with each other, but just reading lines of text. Rupert and Kathy were not as wooden as Michelle, but it seemed like they were all just missing each other. Like 3 separate conversations taking place in the same room. Does this make sense?
On the plus side, like I said, Rupert was really good. And naked. A lot. No frontal, but d**n does he have a nice ass. That pretty much was worth the price of admission right there. I wouldn't pay to see it again, or even to buy the DVD but I would get it out of the library to make screencaps, that's for sure!
*Have I really never posted anything on here before??*
Oh also...both Rupert and Michelle have the most amazingly shocking blue eyes...

Oh I still haven't watched this one* about the blue eyes I heard Rupert say somewhere...wait I think he was asked how he felt about his good looks and looks in the film and he replied something very modest of course and mentioned that they shone a lot of light in his eyes* referring to his blue eyes* thanks so much for posting this Yazp*
