I'm re-reading Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro. It's a really good book. I cried the first time I read it. I highly recommend it.

He's British. He was born in Japan but his family moved to England when he was a child.

I've just finished reading "Let the Right One In" by John Ajvide Lindqvist, a Swedish writer. It was a good read if you are into vampires (well, it's quite a different take on them them compared to the other vampire novels out just now). The theme of bullying is quite central, if you like books that deal those sort of emotions. I'd recommend it, as I really felt for the protagonist.
Now I'm reading Anne Rice's "Blackwood Farm" and I'm enjoying it so far!

Isn't Kazuo Ishiguro the author of The Remains of the Day, too? Right now I'm reading Becoming Queen by Kate Williams. It's a non-fiction book about Queen Victoria's early years, more or less the same period what the movie covers. Do you guess why I read this very book? ;D I have similar experience with the real Japanese writers, Dizzy. Sometimes I can't understand the reactions, emotions, at all. Completely different culture.
